We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed
Female Outreach Worker who share our values to join the team in Broome
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Recognizes and values the person’s (and family, carers and guardians where appropriate) right to being the leader of their own life.
- Assists people to identify new opportunities for inclusion, active participation within their community of choice.
- Provides personal care where required including but not limited to toileting, showering, dressing, grooming, providing and cooking meals at the centre where there will be washing machines and clothes dryers for individual to use and help use.
- Assists the person with physical mobility where required including in and out of vehicles for transport to and from.
- Assists with or completes domestic chores in and around the drop-in centre and keeping vehicles always clean and tidy.
- Assists with or completes activities in and out of the drop-in centre on a day-to-day basis.
- Provides support for the individual to develop, maintain or enhance their relationships with family, acquaintances, friends and generic services such as banks, Centrelink, shops, community groups.
- Provides support for the person to maintain strong links to cultural and spiritual beliefs, customs and practices on country trip with activities.
- Maintains open and honest communication with the person, their family, carers and guardians and Coordinator.
- Attends and actively participates in team and organisation meetings and training events.
- Personal, health care and in-home support
- Support to get out and about in the community with social and recreational activities
- Weekend, afternoon and night shifts with some sleep overs required.
